"I worked for Hannaford for 10 years and was "laid off" because of the recession but it was because of the restructuring that was done due to the merger with Delhaize. I am still in touch with many former colleagues who say that things are so bad there, that all corporate cares about is making the stock holders happy. It's really too bad because before the merger Hannaford really valued it's people and took excellent care of them."
